A Pro Bono effort on behalf of FRCH Design Worldwide to design and construct a non-profit's office space for under $18.00sf.
ArtWorks provides summer employment for aspiring young teens in the arts. Their revitalized office space was designed as a gallery, where workstations can be conceived as a piece of modern sculpture. Existing floors were lightly cleaned and touched up rather than repaired, adding to the loft appearance. A custom conference room table was commissioned, incorporating the scaffolding used by Artworks members for painting public murals on the sides of local buildings. By reusing as much of the existing space and found materials as possible, we were able to spend the money on this project where it counts: hiring aspiring young artists.
