Bringing An Island Vibe Back To A Brand


THE CHALLENGE:

Florida's beloved fast-casual concept contacted FRCH to design a new restaurant prototype to better reflect the Caribbean heritage of the brand. With the previous design, muted earth tones, stucco, dark woods and a barrel-tile roof, conveyed a Mexican concept, not the fresh vibe the brand wanted to convey.

THE RESOLUTION:

FRCH embraced an eclectic island theme to create an escape for guests seeking fresh Caribbean-inspired cuisine in a fresh, colorful atmosphere. The space boasts bright tropical blues and greens, island-inspired lighting and materials in addition to a relaxing side patio area. The proposition of Carribean "chicken on the grill" comes to like with a view to the kitchen and a signature saucing island that allows guests to flavor their food with authentic salsas and sauces. To further communicate the brand story, Carribean architectural language, details and colors were embraced to create an exterior that clearly articulates the experience that lives within. The tropic-style design incorporates details that help guests soak up the feel of a shoreside retreat while enjoying Pollo Tropical's menu of handmade, island-inspired cuisine.
