A Fresh Approach
Emerging consumer demands for high-quality experiential shopping, organic/natural foods and stiff competition led to a need for change for the Boston supermarket chain, Roche Bros. They engaged FRCH to develop a fresh look for their stores while retaining the essence of their proud heritage.
A brand new way of thinking about a grocery store was crafted into our retail design that reflected Roche Bros.'s heritage, while enhancing the shopping environment. Our design celebrates the "fresh appeal" reminiscent of Boston marketplaces, and leverages the Roche Bros. history through messaging and imagery that reinforce their brand promise. The immersive design concept utilized exterior architectural details inside the store to give customers the feeling they were walking through an outdoor marketplace. The new prototype design was extremely well received and several key service offerings have seen as much as a 95% increase in sales.
