Celebrating Each Milestone


THE CHALLENGE:

As Stride Rite stepped toward a fresh manifestation of its brand, one that appealed to both children and their parents, FRCH Design Worldwide was selected to create a dynamic prototype for international roll out. The space had to educate parents and interact with children, invoking a step by step adventure through the shoe fitting process, while rejuvenating an age-old brand.

THE RESOLUTION:

Creating an interactive environment for parents and children alike, we divided the store into segments, each representing a specific stage of child development. To compliment merchandise, we worked with Stride Rite to implement their program known as "Every Step Counts" into the framework of the store. This program strategically acts as an educational tool for parents, providing brief facts about their child's growth; ensuring that the parent makes an informed decision about a purchase. Continuing with brand development, we contemporized their traditional color palette, splashing fresh adaptations of Stride Rite's brand colors throughout the store. A fitting pole on the sales floor encourages children to measure their height while having their shoe size taken. This prototype design is currently being implemented across the US and various international locations.
