A Grand Plan For Expansion
Located in the Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad, HCL was eager to reposition the Trincity Mall brand to become more shopper-friendly for local customers and international visitors, striving to be the premier retail, culinary and entertainment destination for the entire island. Additionally, this rejuvenated property was to become the gateway to a new premier residential and leisure development, the first of its kind in Trinidad.
After surveying the mall and surrounding context, FRCH identified numerous opportunities to design an innovative master plan expansion for Trincity. We began developing both interior and exterior "neighborhoods" in various phases. Each "neighborhood" offers a unique architectural experience that creates a "sense of place" for shoppers from the local community and abroad. A careful placement of color, texture and patterns reflect the true essence of the Trinidad culture. Trincity Mall is now one of the largest, most popular malls in all of the Caribbean islands.
